The big draw

The big draw:

This is were we first started painting the outer circle with black paint 

At this stage we finally finished painting the black circle 

This is were we flicked the colourful paint on the big piece of paper to create a backdrop 

finally we finished both the circle and the backdrop so we were able to stick the two together 

We gathered information about the artist we have chosen (Terry frost) from the LRC using books, magazines and the internet. We have created our own abstract interpretation of one of his pieces of work called the circle of life, paint and paper were the only materials we have used to create our work. We have mainly used the same colours as the original circle of life such as black, yellow and red but we have used other techniques to show our impression of the piece such as creating faint footprints on the black outer circle as well as cutting the around it and sticking it on top of a sheet of paper that we have flicked with paint which adds texture to the whole painting.
